Friday Unwind: Release the Cold

Ever notice how the cold causes your entire body to hold tension? If not, take a moment next time you're outside and listen to your body. Frequently it responds by recoiling, shivering and stiff movement. It's an automatic and unconscious survival response of the body in efforts to generate heat. That constant tension and stress, day in and day out, can leave you exhausted at best, and at worst, in pain.

Come this Friday and unwind from the cold winter weather with Essential Somatics and Kira.

Clinical Essential Somatics is a very gentle modality of movement that allows you the space to experience yourself from within, and see where your body is capable of releasing and where it is not. Through very slow movements called Pandiculation, you will re-educate your body at the level of the nervous system how to lengthen and release.
